Join Us for a Family Dinner: Where We Are Today
Festive family dinners mark the times we usually get together-Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving. It is rare when we can all be there at the same time but occasionally at Christmas we meet with only one or two family members missing. This is a time when we can catch up with the events in everyone's lives. I am going to take you to one of our family dinners so you can catch up with where each of us is today.
Our traditional Christmas dinner is turkey with all the trimmings from recipes that have been handed down through about four generations. How many people are attending will dictate whose house we go to. A full house is 19 plus the dog, Trixie, who is now 18 years old and still going strong.
Nathan is the eldest, number one son, and he always carves the turkey. Nathan is a very successful film editor and producer. He owns his own editing business and two years ago was nominated for a Gemini Award for one of his productions. Nathan has an 11-year-old son, William, who is already taller than I am and a computer whiz. Nathan's wife, Liz, is a successful lawyer here in town. Liz is a fantastic cook and is phenomenal at decorating the house on festive occasions so the family often gathers at their home during holidays.
