The Path to Cure: The Whole Art of HealingWhich Constitution are You?

In the mid-1990’s, Daniel Goleman, a Harvard psychology PhD wrote, Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More Than IQ for Character, Health and Lifelong Achievement. In his best-seller, he cites that it is no longer true that industry and academic institution only value a person’s IQ. He cites that “emotional intelligence, or EQ, gives you a competitive edge.” While that may be true, the Constitutional typology also values the differences between EQ intelligence and IQ intelligence. While EQ’s will derive their energy from being with other people, IQ’s will prefer solitude to recharge their weary batteries. As you go through the descriptions of each Genotype, you will quickly discern the difference between them.

A Silicea is closest to the Spirit or “Geist” pole and we can often identify them physically as the tall, lean, refined and elegant creature they are as they seem to stretch themselves closer to the Cosmos even on a physical level. They are IQ types and derive energy from being alone. They are often noted for their intellectual prowess, logic and sense of righteousness and justice. They can be quite reserved and cool emotionally and they often have to stretch themselves to relate to their feelings and risk allowing others into their inner world.

They are often quite delicate and often have to be mindful of their regimen as it is best if they get adequate sleep and food at regular intervals. They are often mentally preoccupied and they will be known to forget to eat which can weaken them considerably. They are known to wear warmer clothes then the average and both adults and children often need to be reminded that, “the seasons have changed; snow hasn’t fallen for two weeks, so put away the winter galoshes!”
