Ed Mast had called a meeting of his managers in an off-site location,
a yacht club, in the hope of better stimulating the creative juices
of his managers. This whole experience of working with Captain Bob
had really opened his eyes to the advantages of seeing things differently,
or “through new eyes” as Captain Bob put it.
With everyone present, Ed started the meeting. “As we had
agreed upon in our last meeting, I am asking Captain Bob to continue
to work with us to help us to see innovation differently.”
Schlapp!
“Ahoy mates! How be ye? Hey, this is a much nicer meeting
room. Kind of nautical.”
“Welcome Captain,” replied Ed. “We thought that
we would meet off-site at this yacht club to stimulate some new
thinking. I was just explaining to the managers that I had asked
you to join us and help us to better explore innovation.”
