Schlapp!
Captain Bob arrives in an elegantly appointed, oval-shaped office.
A man in a blue suit sits at the desk. He is surrounded by an entourage
of advisors. They are so intent on their discussions that they fail
to notice the arrival of Captain Bob.
One of the advisors is speaking. “Mr. President, public opinion
polls indicate that our track record on environmental matters is
becoming of increasing concern to American voters. Some people are
saying, since you were elected, you have rolled back virtually every
environmental regulation passed in the last eight years. You have
even reversed our government’s previous measures to strengthen
the Clean Air Act.”
“Well, that may be true,” answered the man behind the
desk, “but right now we’ve got to think about …”
“Shiver me timbers, ye be breaking promises that ye made
to get elected? Listen up matey! Where I come from, leaders do not
break promises. Ye will have a mutiny afore long! What business
are ye really in and why? …"
