Ed Mast opened the meeting, nodding a greeting to Captain Bob,
whom the team had gotten quite used to seeing appear out of nowhere.
“Good morning, everyone. I hope that you all had a good weekend.
"When we first met Captain Bob, his initial question to us was,
'What business are you really in, and why?' That question
generated discussion that helped us to crystallize issues and make
some major strategic decisions, such as narrowing our purpose or
mission. I believe that these decisions will substantially increase
our future growth and profitability.
Therefore, as I had discussed with you individually, I have asked
Captain Bob back today to carry on with an overall review of ATI."
