  Sigrid Macdonald has been a freelance writer for several decades. She started out writing for political groups such as the Democratic Party and the National Organization for Women. Macdonald wrote several articles for Women's Freedom Network in Washington DC, and the Carleton University Women's Center. She also developed an interest in wrongful convictions. Her works have been published by the American magazine, Justice Denied; the Canadian newspaper, The Globe and Mail; and the Canadian organization, the Association in Defense of the Wrongly Convicted. In addition, Sigrid has written extensively about health issues such as hypothyroidism, invisible disabilities, panic attacks and menopause.

  Anita Flegg was recently retired from a successful electrical engineering career. As part of her new post-retirement routines, she decided to get in shape, lose weight and generally feel better physically and mentally. As part of this journey, she discovered that she had hypoglycemia—low blood sugar. In researching hypoglycemia, she found that she was unable to find all the information she wanted in one place and she decided to write a book that answered all the questions she had.
